I pose with a Soviet Degtyaryov machine gun imported by Century Arms International at their boot at SHOT. Comrade, beam me up!
Russian/Star Trek jokes aside, the DP series machine gun was the standard light machine gun of the Red Army during WWII. It’s a heavy piece of steel weighing in at 18.5 lbs. In the background are some “retro” A1 style AR-15s, including one with wood stocks? Interesting. Century also had a lot of AK variants at there booth including a couple modified to be “bullpup”, moving the trigger in front of the action. The trigger pull was abhorrent (read: is this thing on safe? *click*)!
I like your blog. Pretty good writing, and I’m not going to qualify it by saying ” for someone your age”. Its just darn good.
I really enjoy your blog and am amazed at the quality of the writing (considering your age.) Seriously, tho, its is excellent. If I didn’t know you would seriously think you were a lot older and more experienced in the shooting world.
?Does Comrade really have an e at the end. Doesn’t look right either way.
I brag about you and Jenny to anyone whose feet I stand on. Captive audience.
Grandma
Yes, Comrade does have an “E” at the end. From dictionary.com:
