I liked using them. I found I could blaze through the close stuff about as fast as I could with a dot. And it certainly was worth the trade of having more zoom to see the far stuff.

Also note that the gas adjustment is done externally with no tools needed. Slick - and patented, so don't look for it on another rifle anytime soon.

Hi Dave,

If you like the DA/SA trigger, the GP5 is a great gun.

They not only changed the frame material, but also the design. It now has interchangeable backstraps in different sizes, as well as one that mirrors the 1911 grip angle.

Any updates lately? I am strongly considering a GP5 (Compact). I see they changed the composite from a GF20 to GF30 (GF=GlassFilled) Polymer for more strength. I see one poster mentioned the loose mag issue. I too have had great experience with STI on a 1911 and that is a big reason I am even considering a GP5. I just wish there was more info out there about these.

This shot 6mm airsoft pellets with gas blowback. It actually sent the things down range. The steel targets registered the hit, and randomly picked another target.

Is that system different than the one we shot at the gun store there in St George? That one used co2 to simulate recoil, but I think it was a laser or something.
